TEAM IN ENGLAND
The Nippon Derby', the fifth contest for which was' run at the Tokib Keiba Club's .Meeting on April 29 last, was founded in 1932 and is framed on similar lines to the English Derby. This year there were 13 starters, and Tokumasa, after an exciting finish with Fierce Arrow Tomasu, won by a head. Tokumasa is a son of the Gainsborough horse Tournesol (imp.) from another importation to Japan in Young Man's Fancy, by Junior (a son of Symington) from Enthuiast's Last, by Enthusiast, and he was bred at the Royal Stud at Sanrizuka. He is own- . f 4 by Mr. S. Yamanaka, and the prize LONnON- t«iv-ii ' i oi',i? c race was more than 20,000 yen
. SYDNEY, July 12. At the Moorefield Racing Club's Meeting today Royal' Helena and Jubilee Singer -were unplaced in the Juvenile Handicap, and Maestro was unplaced in the Moorefleld Handicap
