OLD BOYS' ASSOCIATION

"Last Friday evening a reunion took place of old boys'of the Dannevirke High School at present resident in Wellington. The function was in the nature of an informal dinner, there being present Mr. E. N. Hogben, headmaster, Mr. R. J. McDonald, chairman of the Board of Governors arid;president of the Dannevirke Old Boys' Association, and some twenty old boys, whose years of attendance at Dannevirke High School ranged from 1920 to 1935. On the suggestion •of Mr. Hogben, a motion was carried establishing a Wellington branch of ; .the association, and Mr. G, M. Parker was, appointed secretary for the ensuing year. Letters were received from several old boys expressing regret at being unable to be present It is felt that there must be many other former Dannevirke High School pupils in Wellington, and it is hoped that.they,will get in touch with the secretary,' Mr. G. M. Parker, Box 405, Wellington. It is intended to make the. reunion an annual event.
