•When a bomb was thrown, through the window of Constable Milne's home in Geelong at 3.o'clock this morning, Mrs. Milne was blown to pieces and her husband seriously hurt. The front of the house was wrecked. Two children, who were asleep in,a back room, luckily escaped. •

Constable Milne, who was formerly a well-known member of the Melbourne Criminal Investigation ' Branch, was transferred to Geelong some time ago. He had previously been threatened by underworld enemies.
