The Minister of Internal Affairs (the Hon. W. E. "I think it will be found," said Mr. Parry, "that the special allocation made distributes worthily the surplus funds gathered from the art unions. I receive so very many applications for assistance from .deserving bodies that it is a most difficult task to meet them all, much as I- would like to do so. The bodies or funds to receive some help now in the special distribution are those which it.is considered are in the worst position today, and seriously in need of money to continue their good work. There are a number ,of bodies whose work is closely related to that which is being so well done by the bodies to receive assistance from the special allocation made, and it is hoped that it will be possible to give them help in the future."
