NEW ZEALAND R.S.A.
ANNUAL CONFERENCE
/ The annual conference of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association will commence in Wellington tomorrow morning and will continue until Thursday night, or possibly Friday. A large amount of business of interest to returned soldiers will be considered by the conference, and remits from most of the branches will come up for consideration.
The conference will be more representative than ever this year as small associations not usually represented will be sending delegates. Approximately one hundred delegates are expected to be present to consider the matters brought forward, and it is probable that the re-establishment of unemployed ex-servicemen will be one of the most important matters for consideration, Re-establishment work was greatly increased by the years of depression, and, according to figures quoted by the Dominion president (the Hon. W. Perry, M.L.C.), approximately 10,000 returned men are at present in the ranks of the unemployed.
