John Henry Lewis, the world's lightheavyweight champion, scored a firstround knock-out at Madison Square Garden tonight over Bob Godwin, of Daytona Beach. The knock-out came after lmin 27sec, and resulted from a hard right to the jaw. Lewis weighed 12st 10 Jlb and Godwin 12st b.
