HUTT VALLEY CLUB
A trail of five miles, from Mrs. Lewis's residence, was followed by 23 members of the Hutt Valley Club, who ran in three packs. The course was across Mio Mio Koad, up the Korokoro slopes, through Maori Bush, and down Ward's Road. The hills approaching Western Hutt Road were followed after this and the runners then came home via Pekanga Road. Having caught the slow pack a mile from home, the; intermediate pack set a f srnart cup, Walsh Hosie, and Clarke being conspicuous. In the fast pack Hurley Turner and Magrath showed a good turn of speed throughout the journey. Afternoon tea, supplied by Mrs. Lewis, was much appreciated by the runners. Mr. H. A. Walker, club president, on behalf of the club, thankeo the hostess. Vocal items by Mr. C.. Turner concluded a happy gathering.
