"KITCHEN TEA" PARTY
Miss Eileen Biggs, whose wedding will shortly take place, has been the guest of honour at a number of tea parties. Her hostesses have included Mrs. J. Zachariah, Mrs. M. Player, Mrs. L. C. Dunn, and Mrs. E. Levick. A "Kitchen Tea" was given on Saturday at the home of Mrs. L. C. Dunn, Karori, for which Mrs. M. Player and Mrs. J. Zachariah were joint hostesses. Bright fires were burning in the hall and lounge which were decorated with mauve and blush pink chrysanthemums arranged in tall crystal vases. There was also a log fire in the dining room where tea was served. Competitions were won by Misses Esme Louisson and Dulcie Rowntree, and the guest of honour received many useful gifts. There were over fifty guests, among them being Mesdames R. Goodman, G. Willedon, Roney, H. Morris, Russell, E. Levick, Beaumont, J. Osborne, Bints, Edwards, Dickie, and the Misses Rowntree, Harding, Cottrell, Cooper, and McEvvan.
