T "Consumer Wo. 4" complains of in- * creased rates imposed by the board. In ' 1932, he states, he signed an agreement for a hot water service at a flat rate of 10s 6d per month. Within a few months the rate was raised to 15s 5d per a month, less I7Jd per cent, discount, 12s 9d net. Now the rate becomes 16s Gd „ per month, less a discount'of 8 1-3 per 1 cent., so that the original flat rate becomes 15s 2d per month. | "Commonsense" also writes of hot j water rates and states that "Not "Satis--3 fied" was incorrect in his comparisons between Hutt Valley and Horowhenua Power Board rates, in that the Levin f charge for 1000 watts, change-over switch tariff, is £9 and the Hutt rate . £5 10s per annum net.
