MEETING AT KELBURN

A meeting .of the collectors of the Kelburri' branch of the British and Foreign Bible Society was held recently, -i ;Mrs. Gavin Wilson presided..1 A welcome was given to Mrs. Singlev ton as secretary/and Miss as collector. ; > . :■ :■; An .explanation was.given about the formation of the branch, the results proving that the present system is best: The president.warmly thanked ali cotlectors for their co-operation.-■ U'..-.-.'■, The following ladies decided to carry! on their work as collectors: Mesdames Gavin Wilson, Holdsworth, Redgrave, McGill, Murray, Edger, Lea,' arioV Thompson, Misses Holmes, . -Troup, Buckeridge, Davidson, Williams, and Sister Maud. ■■-'.■':. ' A motion was passed expressing appreciation of the work of Mrs. W. A; Patterson for her work as secretary over many years. .-/,j • ■ ; J The organising secretary .of the'Weli lington area congratulated all present:l upon the work of last year, and hoped with the better financial conditions obtaining that this year's/returns would exceed those of last year. The speaker briefly stated the growth of the.worldwide work both in circulation and languages. , The president entertained all to tea at the close and received a hearty vote of thanks. ". . Much appreciation was expressed of the excellent results of the year's work accomplished by Mrs. Freeman for the Bible Society.
