Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd., report that bidding was .brisk for sheep, and prices were well up to ruling rates at the weekly Carterton sale yesterday. The company offered a .big yarding. Store,cows were slightly easier, but springers were in demand, and fats were about the same. Weaner pigs met a weak market, but porkers were -firmer. Quotations: — J ; ■ • • Sheep.—Fat ewes, 19s 5d to 22s 6d; b.f. lambs, 14s to 20s; woolly ewe lambs, 24s 7d to 275; fat b.f. lambs, 21s'to 21sf9d; fat wethers, 29s to 30s 7d;'small wether lambs, 7s 6d to 11s; shorn wethen lambs, 16s 9d to 17s 6d; forward wethers, 22s 6d to 26s 9d; store ewes, to 14s.
