ACCIDENTS IN CITY
Two accidents resulting from bicycles failing to stop in time resulted in their riders being taken to the hospital with facial injuries during the weekend. Shortly before 11 a.m. on Saturday Miss C. Andrews, of 150 Hanson Street, ran into a concrete wall at the corner of Hall and Hanson Streets. She received a lacerated wound to her forehead and slight concussion. At about 9.30 a.m. yesterday Mr. J. Unsworth, a labourer, residing at 73 Hopper Street, ran into the rear of a motor-car and received lacerated wounds to his nose and chin.
As a result of a fall from a chair at her home. 77 Taranaki Street, on Friday afternoon. Miss M, Murray fractured her left wrist. She was taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance. A schoolboy, Rex Wheeler, of Wiggins Street', while playing in Sydney Street East about 3.30 p.m. yesterday, fell and fractured his left arm. He was taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance.
