50 PERSONS BELIEVED DEAD
BOMB PLACED ON BRIDGE
VERA CRUZ (Mexico), April 7.
The wrecking of an express train travelling from Vera Cruz to Mexico City, due to the bombing of a bridge near Paso del Macho, resulted, it is believed, in the death of 50 persons when the train plunged into a deep ravine during the night. A group of unknown men, believed to be rebels against the Government, are thought to be responsible for the bombing. '~.. , Several important Mexican political figures were aboard the train, including candidates for the impending elections for the governorship.
