Giuseppe Bentonelli, formerly Jo« Benton, of Oklahoma, made a hit in his Metropolitan opera debut. With scarcely forty-eight hours' notice, Mr. Bentonelli stepped on the stage'at the "Met." and sang the role of dcs Grieux in Massenet's "Manon" so well that he brought the audience to itt feet cheering. .••,'■■
