180 SUGGESTIONS
MEMORIAL TO KING GEORGE

RUGBY, April 4.
No fewer than 180 suggestions for schemes for a memorial to King George V were before* the first meeting of the executive committee held in Mansion House yesterday under . the chairmanship of the Archbishop of Canterbury.
As a result of the examination, the proposed schemes for a statue in the centre of a large site were reduced to three, and suggestions for a philanthropic scheme to four. These seven proposals will be sent for consideration to two special sub-committees which have been formed to examine them in detail.
