FEEE AMBULANCE YEAR
INCREASE IN ACCIDENTS
Figures issued this morning fey - ■ the superintendent of the Wellington Free Ambulance (Mr. F. Rof?e) show that there has been. a. very substantial increase-in the number of cases attended-by-the Free. Ambulance during the year ended-yes-terday. ' In the year 1934-35 the Free Ambulance attended 8696 cases and covered 86,536 miles. In the past twelve months the milage increased to 96,188, and the number of cases attended grew by over 3000 to 11.965. - The nurnbei of accident cases dealt with has increased'by more than 20 per cent*, from 1114 in the 1934^35 year to 1346 Mast year. - • : ' Since the Free Ambulance- ; _s was founded in November, 1927, it;; has handled 65,300 cases and covered 625,034 miles. :. ,
