REPORTS AND RETURNS

Kildare reports:—During the past month operations have been principally confined to blowing down loose gravel towards the elevator. This- work is now well advanced, ( and a clean-up will be made about 'the middle of March. The water supply has been kept up well and good progress has been made throughout the past four weeks. PADDY'S TOINT. Paddy's Point. —Operations on freehold property discontinue! 1, and pipeline and plant is being changed over to special alluvial claim held by the company at Waitahuna Flat. TALISMAN DUBBO. Talisman Dubbo, Karangahake — Talisman No. 2 level: The drive south was advanced 23ft, total 570 ft. The country is soft and contains boulders 61' quartz. It has been necessary to erect timbers for the last 50ft. Talisman No. 1 level —Stoping: In the stope from 360 ft to 400 ft south the ore saved assayed fair over an irregular width from 4in to 24in. In the stope 20ft below the Dubbo level at 450 ft south the quartz saved averaged fair for width of 20in. Dubbo level—Stoping: The ore mined above the level gave the following results:—Week ended February 15: From 200 ft to 400 ft, 19in assayed good; 425 ft to 430 ft, 23in assayed fair; 660 ft to 680 ft, 12in assayed fair. Week ended February 22: From 230 ft to 405 ft 28in assayed very good; 405 ft to 415 ft 12in assayed good; 600 ft to 660 ft 12in assayed fair. DAWN OF HOPE. Dawn of Hope, Thames, reports.— Stope between No. 1 and 2 winzes continues to produce high-grade ore, specimen stone being secured at each breakLi ' down. The stope on the specimen lead has been stopped for a while, the men being employed in the stopes between No. 1 and 2 winzes. The crushing from the specimen lead of H loads gave a return of lOoz of gold, and one load from the stopes between I No. 1 and 2 winzes gave a return of |13oz 7dwt of gold. Sarich and party, | tributers, two loads for 6oz. Aro and party, one load for 4oz 16dwt, and Taylor and party, one load for 2oz 6dwt.
