R.S.A. CARD PARTY
The KHbirnie. Lyall Bay, and Melrose Auxiliary Committee of the Wellington Returned Soldiers' Association helJ an enjoyable card tournament last evening at its headquarters in Bay Road, Kilbirnie.
Mrs. E. Twist and Mrs. S. O'Brien won the bridge prizes, and Mrs. R. Blenkinsop and Mr. J. Thomson were, the winners at 500. ,
Mr. Donald Gunn, chairman of the auxiliary, who presented the prizes, announced that a social evening would be held in the near future. The programme would comprise musical items, competitions, and dancing. At the monthly meeting of the ladies' committee held during the afternoon, Mrs. A. Couper was elected vice-presi-dent, vice Mrs. S. Frickleton, who has resigned.
