HORSES IN LIKELY FORM

(By Telegraph) (Special to the "Evening Post.") DUNEDIN, This Day. There is every prospect of fine weather and a fast track for the Dunedin Jockey Club's Autumn Meeting, which has attracted the best horses in commission from Riccarton and Washdyke stables. There will be a strong contingent, also from Wingatui, Oamaru. and Invercargill, as well as three good horses from the North Island. The star attractions for tomorrow are the Cup, for which there promises to be sixteen starters, the Publicans' Handicap, in- which seventeen are engaged, and the Champagne Stakes, for which unfortunately only six have been paid up. However, the six-in-clude five two-year-olds that have won during the season, and^ as they will meet 911 different terms tomorrow. keen interest is being taken in the race. The other races have filled well, and an interesting card is promised. ' Betting /will be under the win-and-place system. The following horses should be well fancied: — - Warrington Hurdles Handicap.— Black Duke, Chrysology, and Arctic Star. ...... Trial Handicap.—Sunny Jean, Fireguard, and Rival Shot. Berwick Handicap.—Top Coat, Concertpitch, and Silver Jest. Publicans' Handicap.—Knockfin, Davolo, and Silver Streak. Dunedin Cup.—Greek Shepherd, Kinnoull, and Osculate. Champagne Stakes.—Double Gift, Pelmet, and Wild Chase. Stewards' Handicap.—Plato, The Surgeon, and All Humbug. President's Handicap.—Mary Pratt, Queen Dorothy, and Golden Lap.
