CAIRO, January 24.
The political position is grave, ani troops and police have been ordered-to dtand by. Provincial Governors are remaining at their p«wts, but a complete party deadlock prevails:
The Wafd proposes a Wafd Cabinet and a Royal Commission* including representatives of the minority party to negotiate with Britain for the provision of seats in the new. Parliament for the minority. . ■
Nahas Pasha urges that a neutral Cabinet should conduct the electipn. The United Front leaders, Mahmoud Pasha and Sidky Pasha decided that the Wafd proposals are unacceptable, and favoured the formation of a, coalition under Nahas Pasha to negotiate with Britain and to submit the result to the electorate prior to the' elections. Nahas Pasha, in an interview, said that King Fuad remains master of th» country.
