ECONOMICS LECTURER
ARRIVAL BY MONTEREY

AUCKLAND, This Day. The opinion that there had been a decided improvement in the economic condition of several countries, particularly the English-speaking countries, and that President Roosevelt would be returned with a reduced majority, was expressed by Professor R. w. Souter, a former Otago student, who returned on the Monterey to take the Giair of Economics at Otago. Professor Souter has spent the last eight years in Canada and America, where he was lecturer in economics at Columbia University, which position he resigned to accept his new post
