DUCHESS OF YORK'S NIECE
Ancient blood and modern history will be united with the marriage of Mr. John Lycett Wills, the Life Guards, and the Hon. Jean Elphinstone, second daughter of Lord and Lady Elphinstone, whose engagement has pleased everybody so much, states the "Queen." Mr. Wills is younger son of Captain and Mrs. Arnold Wills, of Thornby Hall, Northampton, and nephew of Sir Ernest Wills, of tobacco fame.
His mother was Miss Hilda Carolin Lyon, of London and New York. His bride-olect is twenty, and his junior by five years. The first Lord Elphinstone was a victim at Flodden Field,, and the present peer is sixteenth holder of the title. He married Lady Mary Bowes-Lyon, eldest daughter of the Earl and Countess of Strathmorc, and sister of the Duchess o| York.
