HUTT ROAD ACCIDENT
A collision between a motor-car and a lorry occurred about 4-p.m. yesterday on tlie portion of the Hutt Road where water pipes are being laia. Only a limited portion of the road is available for traffic and there are signs warning motorists to slow down to 15 miles per hour. The radiator and engine of the car were badly smashed and the axle was snapped. The driver, Mr. William Gowney, of 16 Jessie Street, Wellington, suffered a cut over the nose. Little damage was done to the lorry, which was owned by McEwen, Carter, and Co.. and driven by Harold Brenton, of I] 4 William Street, Petone.
