MR. W. D. GORHAM
Remembered mainly for his services to the Wellington Wool Brokers' Association as secretary for twentyfive years, Mr. Walter Daniel Gorham, who died on Wednesday, has been a resident of Wellington for. more than forty years. Before his retirement at the end of January last year, Mr. Gorham was a familiar figure at' Wellington wool sales, and his valuable services were appreciated by brokers and buyers alike. When he gave up his work' for the association he was greatly missed by all in the trade. On his retirement his long service was suitably recognised by members of the association.
Mr. Gorham came to New Zealand from England in the late nineties, and took up secretarial and accountancy work, which occupied the greater part of his life. He was a brother of the Rev. W. H. Gorham, of Wiltshire, England. The funeral took place today, leaving for the Karori Crematorium at 9 o'clock.
