NOTES FROM WINGATUI
(Special to tho "Evening Post.")
DUNEDIN, January 18. It was not the Lochella Cup that Trivet won at the Vincent Meeting last year, but the Vincent Jockey Club Jubilee Cup, and therefore her owner, D. P. Wilson, does not keep it as his actual property, but may retain it for one year. Last year's winner of the Lochella Cup was Queen of Song.
Four Wingatui trainers are represented in the nominations for the Tapanui Club's Annual Meeting early next month. A. E. Didham has Hauteur, Linguist, and Final Bell entered, G. McKay Dissemble and Pala Melba, F. Shaw'Te Ahurangj, and J. White Look Smart. Surge, Fireguard, Trivet, and Mary Pratt, trained by D. P. Wilson, and, Shock, trained by D. J. McDonald, represent further Otago entries.
