JAPANESE EAGER
PACIFIC ZONE MEETINGS

BRISBANE, This Day,
Mr. S. J. Gudsell, of New Zealand, who arrived from Japan .yesterday, said that Japanese athletes were eager to meet Australians and New Zealanders and were preparing for a Pacific Zone athletic meeting.
Mr. Gudsell added that marathon running had captured the imagination of the Japanese and he had met six marathon runners who had broken world records.
