SWIMMING
PETONE CLUB'S MEETING
Owing to a wet evening the attendance Was not as good as usual.for the weekly meeting of the Petone Amateur Swimming and Life-saving Club at the McKenzie Bathß last evening. . The young swimmers are still showing considerable improvement, and in the intermediate boys' event this week the best time for the season was~ returned. .
The main interest of the meeting was shown in the B grade polo match, Petone v. Hutt, which resulted in a-win for Petone by 2 goals to 1. J. Cleland and H.,Dickson scored for Petone and D. Milne for Hutt. The game was between two teams of colts and both teams made a very good showing for their first appearance. With a little more coaching they' will show up to advantage.
