BIRKENHEAD GAS PROFITS
A.net profit of £1446, compared with £1434 in the previous period, is shown in the accounts of the Birkenhead and Northcote Gas Company, Limited, Auckland, for the year ended October 31. With £ 1200 brought forward, and after transferring £65 to the coal insurance fund, there is £2581 available. Unchanged dividends of 4 per cent, on ordinary shares and 7 and 8. per cent., less the statutory reduction of 20 per cent., have been paid.. These absorb £1354, leaving £1227 to be carried forward. ■ -
