KEEN FIELDING
M.C.C. TEAM'S WIN
HUMAN'S GREAT CATCH
SYDNEY, December 10.
The M.C.C. team had a comfortable win over an Australian eleven in the final match of the Australian section of the tour. The visitors won by 203 runs. The Australians again gave a weak batting display on a good wicket.
The bowling by the Englishmen was always steady, but never hostile. Sims kept a beautiful length and had all the batsmen subdued. Parks also bowled well. The batting, apart from good knocks by Robinson and Easton, was featureless. The fielding by the Englishmen was very keen. Human took a remarkable catch to dismiss McGilvray. Running in the outfield, he tripped, but held the ball inches from the ground while stretched at full length on the grass. Details:— M.C.C. First Innings.
