ADVOCATE FOR LUCULLUS
Mr. C. E. Twist was a great advocate for the Ard Patrick sire Lucullus, always liberally patronising him. He has now a trio of advanced three-year-olds and an unraced four-year-old by that horse, and, to keep the name going, is calling the first three Lucullus Lad, Lucullus Boy, and Lucullus Lass. The older horse has been named Dozie Boy. Lucullus Lad is a brown gelding from the King Mark mare Fancy Work, and he is thus a full-brother to Cullus. Lucullus Boy is a bay gelding from the Absurd mare Unreasonable (halfsister to Fairy Mark), and he is thus a full-brother to Grumpy. Lucullus Lass is a brown filly out of the Heather Mixture mare Blue Mist, a halfsister to Mon Roi. Dozie Boy, from the Demosthenes mare Prosy, is a brown full-brother to the lumpers - Dozio and Prosy Boy. Mr. Twist is: the breeder of them all.
