DIRECTOR FOR NEXT YEAR*

CHRISTCHURCH, December 10. Professor E. E. Alexander, director of Canterbury Agricultural College Lincoln, has been granted leave of absence for the whole of 1936. Dr. F. W Hilgendorf, who recently resigned from the staff of the college, has consented at the request of the board, to take over the directorship for the next year The decision to grant Professor Alexander leave of absence was made at a meeting of the board of governors in committee today. At a meeting some months ago the board decided to terminate Professor Alexander's engagement as from the end of 1933.
