TEST FOR ROWERS

OARSMEN

Preparations are being made for the holding of the New Zealand Rowing Championships on Wellington Harbour on February 22. As there are only four championship events, the championship fours, pairs, double sculls, and single' sculls, the honour of winning one of these titles is coveted by rowers throughout New Zealand. Last season local clubs were successful in annexing the championship pairs and the championship double sculls. This season the standard of oarsmanship has been fully maintained, and it is anticipated that the Wellington clubs will improve their . championship record.

Eight other races will be rowed in conjunction with the championship events^ and there are bound to be a large number of outside crews competing.
