FAILURE TO ACCOUNT
CLERK PLEADS GUILTY

CHRISTCHURCH, December 10.
Hermann Henry Thiele, a clerk, aged 25, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate's Court today to a charge of failing to account for £195 12s lid; the property of the Lands and Survey Department. ,
A statement by Thiele was in evidence. He had, he said, taken £18 in December, 1934, intending to repay. it. He had not been able to do so and had been later forced to take larger sums to pay back the misappropriations. Thiele was committed for sentence.
