AUSTRALIAN IRON AND STEEL.
As consideration for the sale of the entire ordinary capital of Australian Iron and Steel, Ltd. (paid up value £2,473,500) to the Broken Hill Proprietary Co., Ltd., holders of ordinary shares in the first-mentioned company have received 750,000 £1 shares in the Broken Hill Proprietary Company. Howard Smith, Ltd., was the holder of about one-third of the shares sold.
