HUME STEEL PROFITS
Net profit of Hume Steel, Ltd., for the year ended September 30 was £13.399, compared with £12,682 the previous year, which, with £2274 brought into accounts, makes £15,674 available. Dividend of 74 per cent, on preference shares absorbed £6530, and expenses of the new share issue were £359. The balance is carried forward. The directors report that the improvement noticed last year was well maintained. Prospects for contracts under consideration were very much brighter. Material reductions in costs have been effected.
