OWNERSHIP CHANGED
SYDNEY "TELEGRAPH-
SYDNEY, December 3. The annual meeting of shareholders of Associated Newspapers, Limited, today unanimously approved the directors' recommendation for the sale and transfer of "The Telegraph" newspaper to Sydney Newspapers, Limited, proprietors and publishers of the' "Women's Weekly." The original "Evening News" building and plant ;s also to be taken over.
Sir Hugh Denison, chairman of directors of Associated Newspapers, said that the new company wou'd have £750,000 capital, of which Associated Newspapers would receive £160.000 in paid-up shares—£l2s 000 for "The Telegraph" and £35,000 for the plant—and would also receive in cash £95,000 for the "Evening News" building, in which "The Telegraph" would in future be published.
