Regarding the Federal Ministry's desire to participate in the search for Mr. Lincoln Ellsworth and Mr. HallickKenyon, the Prime Minister, Mr. J. A. Lyons, explains that the Government is prepared to share the cost and even provide a suitable aeroplane to accompany the Discovery 11, which is due at Fremantle on December 18 He hopes the British Government will be prepared to divert the vessel into the Antarctic to engage in the search lor the missing flyers. 35 Commonwealth Government, added Mr. Lyons, would always remember the magnificent efforts of the United States during the.search for thAustralian aviator Ulm

The Federal Cabinet, it was reported yesterday, had under consideration the dispatch of an Australian expedition to the Antarctic to search for Mr Lincoln Ellsworth and Mr. HallickKenyon. Cable messages have been sent to the British Government asking permission to utilise the British research ship Discovery 11.
