"Lofty" Blomfield and Jaget Singh have already demonstrated that they are a well-matched pair of wrestlers, and the Wellington public is to be given a further opportunity of seeing them in action at the. Town Hall on Monday night. Blomfield has been improving . with every match, antJ must now rank as one of the most fornSdable men in the country. He is the only wrestler in New Zealand at the present time to have secured a fall against the Canadian Earl McCready during the latter's bouts in the Dominion, and this, coupled with the fact that.he is a New Zealander, born and bred, gives him a particular appeal. Singh, the man who introduced the Indian "death lock," has shown that he is capable of extending fully the best wrestlers at present operating in New Zealand, and with such a devastating grip as the above at his command, is a man with whom no liberties can be taken. Both men have crowd appeal, and a stern contest- promises to result. Further particulars are advertised.
The title of the world's oldest woman is claimed by an Indian woman living in the remote village of Bir Ramchandrapur, Orissa, North-east India. She is 160 years old, she declares,
