CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP

PLACES IN THE GRADES

Results* pf matches in the various grades of the Wellington Cricket Association's competitions, except in the special grade, are taken into account in awarding points for the local club championship. A reckoning up reveals that the Karori Club, which disputed supremacy with the Kilbirnie Club last season, is in the lead for the club championship, with Midland in second place. Institute Old Boys, who were relegated from the senior grade, are running third, and they are the only club not holding senior status to be among the first eight in the championship, the points for which are as follows:— Karori 275, Midland 214, Institute Old Boys 183, Hutt 150, Kilbirnie 145, University 139, Petone 112, Wellington College . Old Boys 87, Onslow 80, V.M.C.A. 75, Railways 72, Kaiwarra 71, Wellington 61, Brooklyn 60, Stop Out 57, Technical Old Boys 48, Johnsonville 30, Wellington College 21. GRADE POSITIONS. . Present leaders in the grade championships are: Petone (senior), Stop Out (second), Midland (junior A), Railways and University (junior Bl), Karori and Hutt (junior B2), Karori (junior C), Institute B and University (junior D), and Petone (third).
