S.A. WAR VETERANS.
The Wellington South African War veterans' Association will hold a smoke concert next Saturday Decerrber 7, in the old building of'the Commercial Travellers' Association (Legion Of Frontiersmen's headquarters) Victoria Street. A cordial invitation is extended to all South African war veterans whether of the Imperial, Colonial, or New Zealand forces, to attend. The function will be more or less of an informal nature. Old-time choruses will be sung, and members will have plenty of opportunities of indulging in reminiscences with old comrades. The Wellington Association's president. Captain J. J. Clark, would be pleased to have a record attendance for this the lasj:-general-function, for 1935; ~'",
M. G, Berry, a printer, of 11 Cashmere Avenue, Khandallah, was knocked down by a motor-cycle in Davis Street today. He was taken by taxi to the ambulance'station, from where he was removed to the Public Hospital by the Free Ambulance. He was suffering from a punctured wound to the right knee and abrasions to both legs.
