EFFECT OF TRANSPORT ACT

NELSON, November 5.
The chairman of the No. 7 Transport Licensing Authority, Dr. S. A. Gibbs, in, a statement said that the benefit of the Transport Act to the public and road service operators was incontrovertible. The mounting costs of transport were being greatly reduced, but were still one-sided, as only road services had been dealt with. The full value of the Act could not be realised until all forms of trarisport—road, rail, air, and sea—had been included and, without undue favouritism. Stateowned railways or other services.
