MR. JULL'S ADDRESS
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) WAIPUKURAU, This Day.
Mr. A. E. Jull addressed a largelyattended meeting in his home town of Waipawa last night when he delivered his policy speech as the Government candidate. He met with a good reception and was accorded a vote of thanks and confidence. Mr. Jull dealt with the stringent measures which had been necessary for the financial rehabilitation of the country, including the salary cuts, mortgagee legislation, and higher exchange. The last had added £9,000.000 to the internal value of our products and had brought in £13,500,000 additional revenue. He criticised alternative proposals and declared that guaranteed prices were impracticable. The country was recovering from the depression, and the Government had laid a sound financial foundation for the future.
