WILL-O'-THE-WISP POLITICS

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —I quite enjoyed reading your sub-leader on "will-o'-the-wisp politics, but is it only the Labour Party that should be taken to task? What about the Democratic Party's promises, and now we have the National Government's programme of public works, 9500 men to be employed at lull wages. Does the Government expect reasonable people to believe that this could not have been announced months if not years back? If the Government can find £3.500.000 for useful work now. surely it could have done this months ago.—l am, etc.,

FED UP,
