REACTION TO DISMISSAL
GOVERNMENT NERVOUS
VIENNA, October 17. lli full-dress uniform With, decora- ■ tions, Major Fey, interviewed an hour j after his dismissal from the Gabinet, said:—"l must admit it is a surprise. Only yesterday ,20,000 Heimwehr demonstrated to congratulate me on the eve of, my third anniversary as a Cabinet Minister. I am still their leader. Nothing will stop me working for the country and the Heimwehi', which X practically founded." Well-informed people state that th» crisis is the result of a conflict between Prince yon. Starhemberg and Major Fey, arid that the former has won. It is expected that Major Fey's Vienna Fascists will not be permitted to reniain a separate organisation and will probably be disbanded.
The Government tonight is nervous as to how Vienna Fascists will react to the dismissal of their chief. From now on the city and railway will t>« guarded.
