MR. MONK AT BELMONT

The National Government candidate for Otaki, Mr. G. A. Monk, was well received at Belmont, where Mr. C. H. Cowie presided over his meeting.

Mr. Monk defended the Government's various actions taken towards helping primary industry, and. demonstrated how these in turn reacted to the advantage of the whole country. He urged that more attention should be given towards land settlement and secondary industries as a means of assisting to solve the unemployment problem and pave the way for a larger population.
