SOCIAL AND DANCE

HUTT VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL

The monthly social and dance held under the auspices of the Hutt Valley High School Parents' Association is becoming increasingly popular, and on Saturday evening last, when the latest dance was held, there were over 170 parents present in the school gymnasium. A very sociable time was spent, an enjoyable programme being interspersed with mainly old-time dancing.

The programme included community singing, conducted by Mr. Will Mason, with Miss I. Mason at the piano; songs by Mrs. Wilfred Andrews, Mr. E. Glading, a trio by Mesdames Phillips, Todd, and McCallum, and Scotch songs by Mr. Harry Saunders. The accompanists were 'Mrs. J. Andrews, Mrs. W. Andrews, Miss C. Conlon, and Mrs. Saunders. Mr. R. G. Cowie was M.C.
