try championship on Saturday by over 300 yards from K. Johnston (Wanganui\ with F. Hill (Msfrton) and D. Smith (Marlon), 100-yards back, third and fourth respectively. G. Bills and T. Collings, both of the Wanganui V.M.C.A., were fifth and sixth respectively, A. Bourgeoise (Wanganui), seventh, C. Broad (New Plymouth) eighth, W. Hill (Marton) ninth, and G. Johnston (Wanganui), tenth. Weller covered 10,000 metres in 37min 53sec. The teams race was won by Wanganui. | For the national championship on [July 20 the following Wanganui team I has been selected:—Weller, K. John- | ston, F. Hill. Smith, Bills, and Collings.

SAVIDAN WINS EASILY ' .(By Telegraph — I'ress Association.) AUCKLAND, July 7. In the harrier annual provincial championship decided over a course of 10,000 metres, the title-holder, J. W. Savidan, secured an easy victory. Results were as follows: —J. W. Savidan, 39min 57sec, 1; N. F. Cooper, 41min 17sec, 2; C! Littler, 41min 3Bsec, 3.
OTAGO CHAMPIONSHIPS
SENIOR RACE TO PULLAR (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, July 7. The Otago senior and junior crosscountry championships were' run at Wingatui yesterday. In the senior race W. A C. Pullar won the individual championship, A. R. Geddes being second, L. C. McLachlan third, and W. A. Stewart fourth. The teams' race resulted: Civil Service (Geddes 2, McLachlan 3, Barnes 5, Asher 14, McKinnon 19), 43 points, 1; Anglican (Curtis 7 W. A. C. Pullar 1, Logan 13, T. H. Pullar 15, L: G. Pullar 27), 63 points, 2; Caversham, 76 points, 3. - The individual,winner of the junior championship was R. W. McLachlan, an eighteen-year-old brother of L. C. McLachlan. L. W. Wood was second, C. A. Broad third, and G. Davis fourth. Civil Service was the winner of the teams' race with 40ipoints. The team was R. W. McLachlan 1, Coutts 6, Wilkinson 10, Kliffe 11, and Herbison 12. Anglican (Davie 3, Moodie 5, Marett 8, G. Davie 24, Rainsford 33) was second with 78 points. The following team has been selected to represent Otago at the New Zealand cross-country championships at Wellington on July 20: W. Pullar (Anglican), A. R. Geddes (Civil Service), J. G.-Barnes (Civil Service), W. A. Stewart (University), E. D. Craig (Hanover Street), and T. Allen (Anglican), subject to a trial. Emergencies: G. G. Pearson and S. Curtis.
