SOME MUDLARKS
FOR TOMORROW'S RACES

The weekend change in the track conditions at .Trentham may not seriously affect the chances of most of the horses engaged tomorrow, for they are nearly all performers who have been proved on heavy going, but there are some horses who are likely to have' improved prospects as a result of the thorough soaking the track has had. The following is a list of horses who have proved themselves, by past successes at Trentham or elsewhere, ,as able to handle bad tracks:— Mariri Steeples.—Anemometer, Taura Lad, and Cotsfield. Woburn Handicap.—Grand Score,
Gold Fox, State Bank, Solaria, Wahine Nui, Landlubber. Vittoria Hurdles.—Hunting Jay, Master Musk, Prince Val, KingThomond, Salt Spray. Stewards' ■ Handicap.—Sea Fox, Kamal Pasha, Good Hunting, Orapai, Astarth, Prince Acre, Merry Peel, Cawbeen. Wellington Steeples.—Haakon, Tudor, Riotous, Royal Limond, Transact, Valpeen, London, Trentham Hurdles.—High Grader, Esteem, Revision, Black Duke, Stanchion, Manawatu. Whyte Handicap.—Lord Val, West Tor ; Croupier, Curie, Kamal Pasha, Miss Hushabye, Lapel, Royal Gallant, Boudoir, Mercian Prince. Te Aro Handicap.—Arctic King, Round Score, Sporting Song, Quite Soon, Pukeko, Rebel Lad, Vocal, Lord Moutoa.
