QUEEN CARNIVAL
A pleasant "coin afternoon" was given recently by Mrs. H. E. Nicholls at her residence, Lower Hutt, for the Sports and Industries Queen (Miss Dulcie Nicholls), who is one of the entrants for the queen carnival of' the Hutt V.M.C.A. Some amusing competitions and musical items passed away a delightful afternoon. Among those present were Mesdames H. E. Nicholls, P. Wallis, Mime, Holdgate, Lindsay, Andrews, Corson, Nicholls, M. F. Nicholls, S. Wallis, Misses D. Nicholls, Pickard, K. Fraser, and many others. In aid of the S>orts Queen funds an enjoyable card evening was held at the residence- of Mrs. S. Nicholls. Bridge and "500" were played by those present, the winners being Miss M. Milne, Mrs. M. F. Nicholls, and Miss Isabel Lindsay. Those present included Mesdames Nicholls (3), Misses D.
