KARORI RETURNED SOLDIERS

A successful year's work is outlined in the annual report to be presented at the annual meeting of the Karori R.S.A. Auxiliary Committee, to be held in the club room, Main Road, on Tuesday evening. The report states that over £243 was paid,to unemployed returned soldiers on work provided by residents of the district, and the executive expresses its sincere thanks to those residents who provided the work. Special reference is made to ladies who assisted in collecting on Poppy Day and Rose Day. The excellent results were very largely due to their efforts, and the executive expresses its sincere thanks to them. ■

It is hoped that during the coming year the committee will receive even greater support from the returned men in the district, and an invitation 5s extended to all to attend the annual meeting.
